Trends and “Made in Italy” jewels achieved a huge success in Asia’s leading Jewellery event, being on stage at the 2013 Edition of the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, held from March 5th to 9th. A rich programme of events have been organised through a joint project between Fiera di Vicenza and ICE - Italian Trade Commission - in co-operation with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
The area dedicated to Mega Trends, devised and produced by TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting, Fiera di Vicenza’s permanent independent Observatory that researches jewellery, watches and fashion accessories trends and styles, catched the attention of a great number of visitors wishful of having a direct experience with the Italian Jewellery style and product. The guided tour, organized within the area for the operators, saw the participation of some of the most important Hong Kong retailers of the sector.
TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting is a travelling platform as well as a business unit that centres on the know-how provided by research into trends. Its numerous activities include: the publication of the Trendbook, the most authoritative guide for the gold, jewellery and luxury industry worldwide, seminars on trends with focus on the product, new buying trails and trend areas, summits and forecasting events (Las Vegas, New York, Dubai, in addition to Hong Kong), its own website, and has become Fiera di Vicenza’s “Stylotheque” of jewellery design. During the Hong Kong Show the new edition of the Trendbook sold a great number of copies while the Chinese edition of the Trendbook 2014+, exclusively presented, was sold out.
At the HKIJS (Hong Kong International Jewellery Show), TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting has offered a structured programme of initiatives focused on Italian Jewellery, which were presented during a press conference with the presence of the most important Chinese and Hong Kong trade magazines. Great participation came from manufacturers, buyers and retailers for the Seminar entitled “Monitoring global trends of jewellery for strategic marketing”, curated by Paola De Luca, Creative Director and Forecaster of TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting, held on Wednesday March 6th.
Great approval was expressed also by Italian exhibitors, institutions and especially by the buyers who attended the event, in regards to the format of the “Jewels of Italy” Parade, a catwalk show organised by ICE - the Italian Trade Commission, held on Wednesday March 6th, where Masterpieces provided by 60 Italian companies were under the spot, interpreting the four Macro trends identified by TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting’s creative direction: Surreal Garden, Decorama, Folk-Luxe, High Vibrancy.
“Jewels of Italy” is ICE annual event to highlights the Italian Pavilion at HKIJS – ICE aims is to promote and introduce to Hong Kong and Asia markets the best of Italian companies jewellery production. As the official Italian Pavilion organizer, Italian Trade Commission is strongly committed to support Italian companies on local markets.
The initiatives promoted by Fiera di Vicenza with the VicenzaOro brand during the HKJIS 2013, are not only the result of the cooperation between the trade show organiser - Hong Kong Trade Development Council - and ICE, but also a successful disclosure of the whole jewellery contents generated by the Italian industry. VicenzaOro key player position will be a reference point for all topics concerning future Trends in the jewellery, watches and accessories fields through ad hoc promotion of the very best and distinctive elements of Italian production within a global context.
