The 19th Printor Trade Fair, which took place on 6th, 7th and 8th February 2011 in Lyon, lived up to expectations. Printor confirmed its status as a meeting point for the industry, with a strong and varied range and effective organisation, all in a positive atmosphere, as demonstrated by the excellent level of business generated by exhibitors.

Key figures
- 600 exhibitors or brands, 10% of which had not previously exhibited at Printor.
- Distribution: 7% fine jewellery (using precious stones/pearls), 32% gold jewellery, 12% silver jewellery, 21% clocks and watches, 8% stones and pearls and 21% presentation boxes, services and tools.
- 4,800 professional visitors from all over France, a high proportion (46%) from the Rhône-Alpes region.
- An increase of 8% in visitors from abroad, particularly from Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and Spain.
- More specific and harmonious segmentation, enabling visitors to find products more easily, to their general satisfaction.
- A stand quality comparable to that found at the major international shows, a genuine evolution in image, supported by the increasing presence of international brands.
A range of exhibitors that reflects consumer trends
• Fine Jewellery makes its big come-back to Printor. The show created a Jewellery Pavilion in partnership with Grand Lyon to showcase local jewellery designers and manufacturers: Herzo, Tournaire, as well as Alain Roure, Perbet, Cas Bernard, Fiana, Vernet Dray, Coindre and Steiner.
• The presence of new watch-making names, with their emblematic cars.

• The “Art de Faire” area particularly distinguished itself with Perbet, a local designer, nominated in 2nd position at the Trophées de la Joaillerie awards.
Over time, Printor has become the showcase for creation and trends present in the HBJO (watchmaking, jewellery and goldsmith’s trade) market. This was further highlighted by the visit of major buyers invited by the fair on a private tour of a renowned Lyon silk factory on the Tuesday afternoon.
2011 Trends & Showcase Competition
Organised by French Spirit in the trends area, and utilizing the expertise of 4 window dressers, this competition attracted over 500 votes. This area was a showcase for the 3 key trends launched by the Francéclat Committee, which entrusted French Spirit with the design and distribution of 1,000 shop window kits presenting 2011 trends.

Two prize weekends at the Hôtel & Golf du Gouverneur, at the Château du Breuil in Monthieux were on offer: Madame Buguet – L’atelier L’Odyssée à Grenoble Madame Devinaz – Bijouterie Gemme à Lyon Set in a 233-hectare preserved natural site, the 3-star Best Western Hotel & Golf du Gouverneur opens its doors to an enchanting domain combining comfort, golf and gastronomy with its traditional dishes revised by the Chef at “La Table d’Antigny”.
