Gdańsk International Fair announces Amberif Design Award, international contest for Design of an Artistic Jewellery with Amber which aims to promote creative ideas in design and the specific properties of Baltic Amber.
Competition is accompanying International Fair of Amber, Jewellery and Gemstones AMBERIF 2011 (09.03-12.03.2011) in Gdansk (Poland).
The topic of the contest is: Story Telling
Amber: a material which is both a tangible and symbolic medium of information from millions of years ago can be an inspiring reason for the challenge.

The Goal and the Object of the Competition is to promote amber as a source of artistic expression. The aim of the competition is the design of an original, artistic jewellery with amber, inspired by the topic of the contest.
The following prizes will be awarded:
The Mayor of the City of Gdańsk Prize
The Amber Prize of the International Amber Association : 2 kg of amber
The Silver Prize: 2 kg of silver
