In 1885 Carolina Bucci’s great grandfather founded the jewellery company, Ferdinando Bucci, in Florence, Italy. In 2010 the company will mark its 125th anniversary of producing fine quality 18k gold jewellery, including all of the Carolina Bucci collections, and this collection 1885 celebrates that heritage.

Having sifted through the archives of her great grandfather’s original designs, Carolina decided to focus on the ’rollo’ link that was a significant part of the family company’s production from its very beginnings. This ’link’ provides both a physical and metaphorical connection to the history of the family business, and Carolina has given it a modern and colourful twist, covering it in a pave’ of either white diamonds, pink sapphires, yellow sapphires, blue sapphires or orange sapphires. These precious links form bracelets, necklaces earrings and rings in combination with delicately faceted 18k multi-coloured gold chains.
