y Valentine’s Day in mid-February, nature has already begun to prepare for its grand entrance. The crocus is the first to appear. The small messenger of spring stands in stubborn defiance of the snow, its colourful buds causing hearts to beat faster.
Glashütte Original’s watchmakers have drawn inspiration from its gentle strength and incomparable charm to create their latest Valentine’s Day model. Eight heart-shaped indexes in pink sapphire crystal encounter a sparkling bezel set with 52 diamonds.
The diamond cabochon forms an elegant contrast to the finely shimmering mother-of-pearl dial with rhodium-plated applied numerals and hands. The strap, fashioned from Louisiana alligator leather, is dressed in the colour of spring’s messenger.
Despite its delicate appearance, the crocus is unusually strong and enduring. Things are no different when it comes to love. And the exquisite Lady Serenade, too, has proven strength. Its precious components are securely protected in a fully polished 36 mm stainless steel case. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on the front and back ensures optimal clarity, and water resistance up to 5 bar (50 metres) makes the watch, which is limited to 50 pieces, wonderfully suited to everyday use.
As spring approaches, many a heart inevitably gets into turmoil. The Lady Serenade, on the other hand, keeps a cool head under all circumstances and has a reliable power reserve of 40 hours. Its regular pulse beats at a frequency of 28,800 half-oscillations per hour that cannot be disturbed. The 39-22 automatic movement is lovingly crafted, finely decorated and regulated by hand by the watchmakers in the Saxon manufactory’s workshops. It can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back, on which the individual limited-edition number also appears.
The Lady Serenade Valentine’s Day edition is limited to 50 pieces.
