Spanning a fourteen year relationship with Victoria’s Secret, Mouawad has once again showcased its exclusive diamond masterpieces on the runway of this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held for the first time in London.
The chief highlight though was the latest Mouawad-designed Dream Angels Fantasy Bras modelled by Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio —the tenth created to date for Victoria’s Secret. Valued at $2 million each, the bras consumed 1,380 hours of artisanship to be thoroughly handset with a gleaming array of diamonds, rubies, sapphires and diverse multi-colored gemstones hanging together on 18K gold stretching chains.
Mouawad’s high jewelry, some of the world’s most stunning and beautiful creations, complemented the Victoria’s Secret show. With VIPs, A-list celebrities and icons of the fashion world present, the VS Fashion Show was the ideal stage for jewelry and diamonds of this caliber to be revealed; as each and every piece is as mesmerizing and unforgettable as the breathtaking models and lingerie. Victoria’s Secret usual line up of lingerie models, known as Angels, were adorned with ‘one-of-a-kind’ Mouawad creations which helped usher in a triumphant statement at this year’s show.
“Each masterpiece worn was as gorgeous and awe-inspiring as the VS Angel wearing it,” says Pascal Mouawad, CEO of Retail Group. The jewels which shined on this year’s runway were specifically selected to complement the intricate designs and respective theme of the lingerie worn by each model. “We are so proud to be once again showing at the Fashion Show and have selected over $27 million worth of our most spectacular pieces for this year’s Dream Angels theme” he added.
Mouawad has been behind the inspired collaborations with Victoria’s Secret since 2001, when Heidi Klum wore the first Fantasy Bra named as Heavenly Star. The Mouawad Fantasy bras and high jewelry have time and again rocked the fashion world and this year’s offerings were no exception.
