Sustainable development as well as a safe and fair world cannot be achieved without investing, from today, in more child-friendly policies. A greater focus on children and young people not only has a direct impact on their daily lives, but as well on their communities and on their housing and school environment, not only in the short term but equally in the future.
About the Children’s Rights and Business Principles
In March 2012, the “Children’s Rights and Business Principles” (10 principles) were introduced by the UN Global Compact, together with UNICEF and Save the Children. The ten principles constitute important guidelines for companies, on ways to prevent or minimize the negative impact of their activities on children and to maximize their positive impact. In December 2012 the principles were launched in Belgium under the leadership of Rosy Blue and Telenet.
