Discover from October 8th until the 26th at the Ecole de Gemmologie de Montréal a three-week introductory course about jewellery rendering techniques, led by international designer Pamela Hastry.
Drawing Techniques in Jewellery is an intensive three week program exploring the rendering techniques for luxury products (couture jewellery, fine jewellery, watchmaking, luxury goods and objects) with a very hands-on approach of drawing and coloring. Several techniques and tools will be developed (pencils, markers, watercolor, gouache, illustration software with Adobe, etc.) to illustrate the importance of a technical and illustrated dialogue between a designer, a customer and a manufactor.The course is coupled with a strong knowledge of the history of jewelry and the current market (economic and technical) giving an insight onto past ideas, transforming them into new ideas or instil a dose of innovation through the knowledge of materials and technical developments.

Students in art history or fashion design who want to deepen their knowledge of jewellery styles and techniques.
Languages and Schedule
This course is offered in English and French.
It runs for three weeks, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
