World renowned, Australian born and based artist Timothy John, has stepped back from the easel where he creates canvases for exhibition and has refined his focus to create the first in a series of unique hand painted pieces for Montegrappa of Italy.
“Montegrappa is a brand I feel very strongly about, they are dedicated to the artistry of writing and they have a reputation and a history of risk taking in their designs and production techniques. A few years ago, I started questioning where I was heading with my work and my life in general, I decided I had reached a point where I wanted to explore new and exciting mediums and projects. As a result of this epiphany (my wife called it a mid life crisis!) I reached out to Giuseppe Aquila told him of my desire to create unique one off pieces for the brand, and thankfully he felt my passion, liked my work and shared my vision, so the journey began, and that lead to the creation of ‘The Four Seasons’, a boxed unique edition of four hand painted pens.”
