Montblanc has joined forces in its continued efforts with The Nelson Mandela Foundation and the 46664 campaign to raise funds and spread the important global message of HIV/AIDS awareness.
Montblanc has supported this initiative since it launched in June 2008 and celebrated this year’s campaign with a private cocktail reception at its Madison Avenue boutique in New York City on July 14th.
The cocktail reception was a celebration of Nelson Mandela and the work he has done over the years. There was a special display of Montblanc’s one-of-a-kind white gold 46664 bangle, on which the number 46664 appears engraved and set in 300 diamonds along with the unique Montblanc Diamond. This bangle was auctioned at a special Gala Fundraising Dinner.
The 46664 bangles are made with South African precious metals and hand finished by skilled craftsmen, who have been affected by HIV/AIDS. The bangles are available in men’s and women’s sizes in Platinum, 18ct Gold and Silver. All bangles are individually numbered and are engraved with Nelson Mandela’s historic prison number (466) whilst he was imprisoned in 1964 on Robben Island. All styles of the 46664 bangles are available at select Montblanc boutiques worldwide, with all proceeds from the sale going directly to The Mandela Foundation and the 46664 Campaign, which supports those suffering from HIV/AIDS throughout Africa.
