Among the three talented Centurion Emerging Designer winners this year is Sharart Design, a creative brand founded by Singaporean Shar-Linn.
The inspirations behind Sharart pieces are constantly evolving around her Asian heritage and old European allure. Be it the architectural lines of Asian Pagodas or mid century Art Deco styles, Shar-Linn absorbs and crystallizes her inspiration and design into wearable art.

The latest collections revolve around movements and multi-facets. Among them is “The Pirouettes Collection,” which fully embraces the play-of-color of the opal as it spins and twirls.
“My passion for design and antiquity was fueled by my mother, a couturier, who took me on buying trips to Hong Kong, combing the fabric and accessories market,” muses Shar-Linn. Later, her husband exposed her to the world of fine jewelry and gemstones. With his encouragement, she enrolled as a student at G.I.A. in Carlsbad, California. After a two-year stint as a Jewelry Merchandiser at a TV jewelry network, Shar-Linn decided to focus on her own collection. Her creations are entirely handcrafted in her husband’s jewelry manufacturing house of more than 30 years of experience.
