Liberty United transforms illegal assault weapons

August 2013

Created by the founder of Ethos Water, Peter Thum, Liberty United works with local governments to collect illegal assault weapons, melt them down and transform them into jewelry.

Their first collection is designed by Philip and Courtney Crangi of Giles & Brother, and includes a series of bracelets, rings, and necklaces, each of which bears the serial number of the weapon it was created from.

This is truly fashion for a cause, where 25% of the proceeds go to anti-gun violence groups in the US.
