Kiran Gems recently concluded its 8th season of 3 day cricket event- Kiran Gems Premier League 2016, in Goregaon from 8th to 10th January. There were 12 teams, comprising members from various departments, competing for the champion’s trophy of 2016. This season, the two teams that worked through the matches to play the finals were- KL Master Blasters & MV Killers. Finally, MV Killers came up as the winner of the tournament.
Continuing its commitment to society, Kiran Gems fostered its initiative “Play for Cause”. The company had partnered with the NGO - Umang Foundation to support the cause- Provision of Potable Drinking Water. The support was extended through the winner team. The team was happy to be the source of support for the same.
The tournament had participation of all the quarters of the organization, namely- the top, middle level management, their subordinates and the support staff. Kiran Gems Premier League is an excellent opportunity for Kiran employees to get to know about each other. The tournament laterally serves as a learning experience for the participants reinforcing the importance of playing in a team with a common purpose, gaining knowledge of team mates’ abilities, utilizing them and triumphing as a winner, pretty much what is desired in an organization.
