Hamilton Jewelers creates prestigious Liberty Medal

September 2013

Hamilton Jewelers announced their 4th year as the creator of the internationally renowned Liberty Medal. Established in 1988 to commemorate the bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution, the Liberty Medal is awarded annually to men and women of courage and conviction who strive to secure the blessings of liberty to people around the globe.

The medal was first administered by the National Constitution Center in 2006, when Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton were honored for their bipartisan humanitarian efforts on behalf of the victims of the tsunami in Southeast Asia and the hurricanes on the Gulf Coast. Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was presented the award in recognition of her lifelong career in public service and her ongoing advocacy efforts on behalf of women and girls around the globe.

Secretary Clinton received the prestigious award during the 25th annual Liberty Medal ceremony on the National Constitution Center’s front lawn in Philadelphia.

“It is truly an honor to know that a medal created by our craftsmen is presented to such worthy recipients as Secretary Clinton, and we are proud to be part of this important occasion,” said Hamilton president, Hank B. Siegel. Hamilton Jewelers is based in Princeton, NJ and operates 4 luxury retail boutiques in New Jersey and Palm Beach, as well as a division dedicated to design and production of business and presentation awards.
