GIT2014 – The Exquisite Gem Connectivity

December 2014

For gemstone enthusiasts, aficionados, and experts, GIT will sponsor GIT2014, its 4th International Gem and Jewelry Conference, December 8 and 9, under the theme: The Exquisite Gem Connectivity, in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Happy Spirit: when Chopard brings the stars within reach…

This must-attend event features a roster of acclaimed industry professionals who will talk on a variety of important gem and jewelry topics. This year, GIT2014 will be held in conjunction with a pre-conference excursion to Mogok, Burma, to be held December 3 to 7, and a post-conference excursion to northern Thailand, to be held December 10 to 12. The post-conference excursion offers attendees the rare opportunity to see the last remaining sapphire mine in Thailand. Once thought depleted, the Ban Bo Keaw and Ban Na Poon deposits in Phrae Province are again revealing their beautiful sapphires. In addition to visits to the mine, a number of cultural activities are also planned for the conference attendees.
