GIT 2012 Gem and Jewelry Conference Opens in December

The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand announces the 3rd International Gem and Jewelry Conference, or GIT 2012, the third of its kind after the successful predecessors of GIT 2006 and GIT 2008.

The conference is another of GIT’s landmark technical events and will be held December 12 and 13, 2012 in Bangkok. It will be followed by a post-conference excursion option, which will visit Chanthaburi in Thailand and Pailin in Cambodia from December 14 to 16, 2012.

Held at the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel in Bangkok, GIT 2012 will focus on updating and integrating all aspects of today’s gem and jewellery industries, with presentations by renowned international speakers who will disseminate insightful knowledge and information, and an exchange of ideas to explore possible collaboration opportunities in academics and for professionals. More than 100 abstracts from researchers in the gem and jewellery fields will be presented in oral and poster presentations. Besides the well-established academic program, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a dinner cruise with Thai classical music, arts, and a performance.
