Outgoing president Vicente Agor of Vicente Agor Fine Jewelry, has been widely praised for his dedication to the association; “during his term, the CJDG experienced dramatic growth in visibility and in membership,” said Ms. Atut. Agor will continue to serve as the CJDG Couture committee chair.
Ms. Atut looks forward to continuing the growth and visibility of the organization, she says, as well as strengthening the relationships with retailer members. “The retailers are key to the success of all of our members, and I hope to enhance their experience with the CJDG by introducing new benefits, and enhanced interaction with our designers,” said Atut.
Romanenko brings to the position twenty years of experience running her eponymous jewelry company and is thrilled to be able to use her two decades of experience and contacts for the benefit of all members. Atut adds her marketing and management mastery from her previous career and the combination gives a unique point-of-view to the group. “Julie and Malak offer a perfect complement of experience and knowledge to our group,” said past president Agor, “and I’m thrilled to see where they will take the CJDG in the next two years.”
Rebecca Overmann, of Rebecca Overmann Jewelry, and Elizabeth & Jack Gualtieri ,of Zaffiro Jewelry, remain in their previous Executive Board positions of secretary and treasurer, respectively. Monica Stephenson also continues in her role as Website Editor.
