The public preview (7-8- 9-10 November), as well as the live auctions (9-10 November), will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues.

Christie’s is delighted to present the Estate of Mireille and James Levy consisting of more than 60 jewels. Over the course of several decades, the couple acquired jewels that Mrs Levy enjoyed wearing regularly, from a gala in New York to a wedding in Italy. Mrs Levy’s collection showcases the best Maisons around the world, from David Webb and Harry Winston in New York to mystery-set jewels by Van Cleef & Arpels, as well as avant-garde pieces by René Boivin or Marina B. Further jewels from the collection will be offered in the New York Jewels auction on 8 December 2020. The proceeds from the sales will continue their legacy of extraordinary philanthropy.

Magnificent Jewels Online – 27 October - 11 November
This season Christie’s will host alongside the Magnificent Jewels live auction two additional Jewels online sales. The afternoon session of the Magnificent Jewels live auction has been transformed into an online sale, running from 27 October until 11 November, offering approximately 150 lots with estimates ranging from CHF100 to CHF100,000. Christie’s are thrilled to include a charity element to benefit the Fondation privée des HUG Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève. 15 Geneva based members of the jewellery trade have each generously donated a piece of jewellery for which both Christie’s and the hospital are incredibly grateful: Boghossian, Chatila, Faeber Collection, Golay Fils & Stahl, Jahan, Lancon SA, Manuel Bouvier, Margaret Jewels, Nicola-Jane P., Orpheo, F. Torrini SA, Valdieu Fine Arts and anonymous Donors.

To conclude this exciting sale week, Christie’s will offer 43 extravagant parures by Marconi. Each lot consists of a matching necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring. Joseph Marconi, who joined the industry over 30 years ago when he moved from Italy to Geneva, opened his own jewellery house over a decade ago. The sale will open for bidding on 3 November and close on 17 November.
Watches Online: The Geneva Edit – 5-19 November
Christie’s Geneva will present the most important online watch auction the firm has staged to date, with over 200 lots spanning from the 18th century to recent days, made by the world’s most celebrated watchmakers. The majority of the watches have been consigned by private collectors.
For lovers of vintage Rolex, Christie’s has once again sourced a superb steel ‘Paul Newman’ Daytona. This reference 6262 has been consigned by the family of the original owner and is sold complete with its original bracelet, certificate and brochure – an exciting new discovery estimated to realise between CHF150,000 and 250,000.
From the contemporary watchmaking genius F.P. Journe comes one of the most sought-after early examples of the reference ‘T’ platinum Tourbillon Souverain wristwatches with Remontoir d’Egalité. The model was F.P. Journe’s first production watch and the very first wristwatch ever to use a constant force remontoire, a mechanism devised to improve timekeeping. Consigned by a private collector, it was made in 1999 and is estimated between CHF200,000 and 400,000.

An extremely rare emerald-set Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronograph reference 5271P is one of several top-flight Patek Philippe watches in the auction. Only available to Patek Philippe’s best clients, very few of these magnificent timepieces have ever been produced. This exceptional complicated watch is set with 80 baguette-cut emeralds of approximately 3.57 carats to the bezel and lugs. The platinum deployant clasp set with baguette emeralds to match the case perfectly showcases Patek Philippe’s uncompromising attention to detail. Offered with the original certificate and box and estimated between CHF250,000 and 350,000, it embodies the ultimate excellence in watchmaking technology and haute joaillerie.
Sold for the benefit of the Emirates Foundation is a Pièce Unique created by Czapek & Cie in collaboration with Arab Watch Club. The unique titanium “Al Kanz” Place Vendôme Tourbillon Suspendu GMT with world premiere zoisite chapter ring is an exciting contemporary timepiece with one-minute tourbillon. Zoïsite is a very special green semi-precious stone, until now considered too fragile to make a dial. As a result, the watch was given the name ‘Al Kanz’, meaning ‘The Treasure’. The Arab Watch Club was established in 2015 whose main objective is to bring more horological knowledge to the region. The watch is estimated at CHF 80,000 and 160,000.
Fine Wines – Live auction on Monday 9 November
The Fine Wines auction will offer 875 lots all sourced privately, offering some exceptional finds in the wine and spirits, including a 40 Year Old Dalmore Whisky (lot 318), which is a special lot for collectors to look out for, as the 2018 release is rarely offered at auction.
