Arman comes from a long line of jewellers. He began his jeweller apprenticeship at the age of twelve under the tutelage of his father, whose career as a goldsmith and jewellery designer spanned fifty years, earning him notoriety in Armenia and Russia. He has been recognized as one of the pioneers of the mixed metal category of today, and his designs are often referred to as “instant heirlooms”. Proven designs by Arman Sarkisyan have received many awards, the last being the Couture Design Award 2011, Best of Show by People’s Choice. www.armansarkisyan.com, Hall 2.0, Stand K42.

carelle’s founder and designer, Chana Regev, spent years collaborating with the world’s most prestigious jewellers and fashion houses. The inspiration to launch her own line came from her passion for the coloured gems: the brilliant precious stones she works with – each one appearing with its own personality, light and life – and the vibrant woman who is drawn to them. Chana named her brand “car elle" – in French: “because she…” – as a celebration of the wants and desires of the enthusiastic modern woman. Each piece of the carelle collections begins and ends with the stone that inspires the creation. A signature motif is incorporated into every design and invites light to shine through the stone. www.carelle.com, Hall 2.0, Stand K28.

Electroformed metal is extremely pure, with superior properties over wrought metal due to its refined crystal structure and allows the wearing of voluminous yet light jewellery. The company Charles Garnier today employs ten designers whose creations emulate the craftsmanship and pride that made Charles Garnier famous more than a century ago. For its 110th anniversary in 2011, Charles Garnier presented three new collections: Constellation, Organza and Hammered.
