With her impressive background, it’s no surprise why Camille Miceli has been chosen by Dior to be the luxury brand’s new artistic director of costume jewellery. After working in Public Relations and pursuing her career at Louis Vuitton, where she worked alongside Marc Jacobs, she finally got the chance to put her creative skills to good use. It was in fact Marc Jacobs himself, who pushed her in that direction and encouraged her to follow her productive leanings.
Her new creative responsibilities at Dior - another LVMH brand - will start in October 2009 and will also involve an advisory role to several leather goods ranges.
