The Little Prince, the French novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry published in 1943 is the most read, most sold and most translated French novel. It was translated into more 150 languages and dialects. It’s believed that part of the plot and the watercolor illustrations were inspired during Saint-Exupéry trip to Brazil, where he first came across the Baobab, an African tree brought to Brazil.
