Espaijoia, Joya and the “Precious Day”: three events together this October

This autumn, there will be three events in Barcelona in the same week dedicated to the jewellery profession. Espaijoia, Joya and the Precious Day are exhibitions with an individual personality focused on a common objective: to make the City of Barcelona the world capital of the sector.

Espaijoia – a meeting place for professionals

From 12-15 October, the second edition of Espaijoia, the Mediterranean jewellery meeting, will be held in the beautiful Comillas Hall of Drassanes in Barcelona. This is less of a trade show and more of a space for professionals of the sector, such as brands, designers and schools, to come together to present their innovations.

Among the 120 brands expected to exhibit will be international attendees from Germany, Italy, Greece and the UK, who will make up around 5 per cent of the total exhibitors. A total of 12 jewellery and design schools will be represented, as will home-grown talent in the form of Gemma López, Santi Capó, Elisenda Santacreu, Ariro, Miquel Sardà and Teno.

A series of lectures and conferences featuring well-known speakers from the industry will accompany this year’s edition.

Joya and “Precious Day”

Joya, the oldest event and most internationally-oriented jewellery event in Spain, will be held for the fourth time this year. Taking place from 11-13 October at the FAD site building, it will welcome 157 artists from all over the world.

Precious Day will be held for the first time this year, on Saturday 13 October, and will offer a tour through Barcelona’s most emblematic jewellery stores around the Paseo de Gracia.
