Annamaria Cammilli – The sky, the earth, water and flora.

June 2014

2014 is an important year for the creative journey of Cammilli, indeed Baselworld 2014 has seen a presentation on the global creative universe behind the maison.

The fact that Annamaria Cammilli is not only a jewellery designer but a painter and sculptor as well, makes a clear difference in the background story to how certain collections are born and created and incorporate a clear connection with pictorial and artistic elements. Sculpture, painting and jewellery all have a common denominator, the inspiration that Annamaria draws from nature, the Florence artists has always taken from and captured the atmosphere of her muse: Nature.

The maison is now offering a way to read this creative abundance, by telling the story underlying the four concepts dedicated to four fundamental elements, the sources of inspiration: the sky, the earth, water and flora.

Essential Design

Cammilli has dedicated the creative concept ESSENTIAL to the EARTH. ESSENTIAL is a group of collections led by the famous collection Dune, dedicated to desert dunes. Essentual captures all the collections that Cammilli has dedicated to a woman searching for jewellery to wear at all times of the day and often. Its originality stands out thanks to its original movements and finishings, which express a simple and essential look, without ever being banal. Simple forms but full of character which never stop looking like a piece that is unquestionably a Cammilli.

Vision Design

The VISION concept reflects WATER. This is the newest of the four collections and perhaps the most striking, where Annamaria best expresses herself by playing on depth and shape. Vision tells several stories about water and oceans but most of all it represents an incredibly original way to make jewellery. The shapes of this collection at first seem abstract and only at a later stage, is it clearer the story they tell: drops, waves, ripples in the ocean all forming to make exquisite pieces of jewellery. Sultana is a collection fit for a queen in this concept and is dedicated to the ripples forming on the ocean with a huge focus on stones and the colour gold.

Flowers Design

FLOWERS completes the collections where Cammilli presents the photographic method FLOWERS AND LEAVES, the concept that made Cammilli famous when more than thirty years ago the first collection was launched characterised by flowers. It is here with the masterly ability and expertise the maison really stands out, not only because of how the flowers are made but how they come alive as if moving in the wind and lit up by the sun through precious stones. One of the new collections under this concept is Begonia, a collection with sculptural characteristics that are extremely complex, presented using two brilliant colours of gold and here Cammilli takes us by surprise with an ingenious use of depth and finish.

Colour Stones Design

The SKY is COLOR STONES. This creative concept presents all the collections with coloured stones and pearls by Annamaria Cammilli. Color Stones tells the story of the most improbable shades of semi-precious stones garnished with rhinestones and the maison’s original gold colour. Some improbable combinations and popular colours are the result of a creative take behind playful yet elegant collections. In our eyes, the new Dune Cubic will become the most sought after piece of the concept.
