Jewellery and Precious Stones German Awards

November 2009


Results of the “40th German Award for Jewellery and Precious Stones Idar-Oberstein 2009” and the 21st German Young Talent Competition for Gemstone and Jewellery Design Idar-Oberstein 2009”.

In both competitions 130 (93 main competition, 37 Young Talent competition) entrants has been submitted from 4 countries: Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland and USA.

Theme of the “40th German Award for Jewellery and Precious Stones Idar-Oberstein 2009” was: Long live the Reflection

Gemstone design had first priority. Accepted were unmounted gemstones, gemstones in finished jewellery (in this case only precious metals were allowed), gemstone objects and gemstone sculptures. The use of synthetic gems was not admitted.
