CD Jewelry Art.com was launched in August of 2009. It is the brainchild of artist Rita Asfour and her daughter, Amber. Rita is an impressionist artist, who studied at an Italian art school and has been painting professionally for over 50 years.
Her daughter, Amber, is a singer/songwriter who has been singing and composing music for most of her life. Both share a studio in Malibu, where Rita paints and Amber sings and composes music. One day, Rita was inspired to create a work of art from a CD that Amber had no use for anymore. Thus, the company was born! Finally, both artists had combined their talents into one shared medium: “Music that you can wear!”
