Orianne Collins Concept Store promotes the Art of Painting

January 2012

OC Concept Store has joined with Ethan Cohen Fine Arts, New York, to create a solo exhibition of dynamic oil painting by the gallery’s artist team, Qian Chong and Hélène Sutin.

This event will mark the duo’s art debut in the United States, and, in part, will be a celebration of the 2012 Chinese New Year, the year of the dragon.

Qian Chong and Hélène Sutin initially met as musicians. As their partnership soon evolved, painting together, as one harmonic entity, utilizing four hands in synch, became the foundation of their relationship. Their unique approach to painting has allowed them to create vibrant portraits full of expression that provide an intimate look at the subjects portrayed. The artists have shown their work at galleries in Switzerland and France, and are now pleased to have their United States debut at OC Concept Store.

Since it opened over a year ago, OC Concept Store in New York has been known as a luxury lifestyle brand destination, presenting clients with exclusive, forward thinking items. As owner Orianne Collins explains, “My vision for OC Concept Store was always to incorporate art into the presentation. Art is always ahead of everything and sets the trends, which are part of what OC Concept Store is all about. We are thrilled to have Hélène Sutin and Qian Chong show with us.”
