At Baselworld, Hulchi Belluni and Claeys Verlichting present ’Marilyn’: a modern interpretation of the classical model of the bag chandelier. Chains of beads run in three tiers from the top of the lamp, down to the ring on which the bag shape is mounted. The outer strings are composed of black Swarovski® crystal, the middle layer consists of silvered Swarovski® crystal and the heart is formed by diamonds with a brilliant cut.

This sophisticated chandelier is successful because of its simplicity. This sleek modern interpretation creates a tension between contemporary and classic. This is an exclusive design for Claeys Lighting by Roel Haagmans.
Technical characteristics:
- The chandelier is illuminated by spotlights. Due to the high brilliance and light reflection of the diamonds, the chandelier lights, even though there is actually no light source in the chandelier itself.
- The chandelier has a diameter of 110 cm.
- A mix of brilliant-cut diamonds with dimensions between 0.7 mm and 1.19 mm. In 1 cm, there are about 140 cut diamonds.
- The diamonds were cut and supplied by the leading firm Barsamian Diamonds from Antwerp.
- The entire chandelier is covered with 18.40 running metres of cut-diamonds.
